Because of his high rank in the U.S. Army, Col. Ajax obviously is the commander of the group of survivors. He is fearless, wreckless, and is a self-described "Demigod" due to his often miraculous near-death experiences. Because he is a complete atheist, his quest for knowledge is rather a quest to find a rival to oppose his might. He is a close-minded jackass, but his experience in warfare is more than enough to follow his orders. Earn his trust, and you'll earn his respect.

Ajax requires a gruff, over-powering voice that can deliver aggressiveness:

• Not much to say that hasn't already been implied. Ajax is a bit easier to act than the other characters in that he doesn't display a whole lot of emotion. However, it is the sound and aggressiveness of the delivery that is essential to bringing the character to life. If you have a deep voice, try this guy on for size.
• Expect lots of profanity coming from The Colonel (as expected). Don't be afraid to scream "Bastard!" or "Piece of shit!" in some scenes.

Save in MP3 format if possible - the size is much lower than WAV. If you record multiple takes, put them into a packaging file (ZIP or RAR) if you can, but don't worry about that too much. When you're ready, send the following criteria to: noescape@rateofinjury.com:
