The malicious "Brookhaven Doctor", like the nurses, is a dark manifestation of how Michael perceives these creatures. While the nurses are the mercenaries, the doctors take the role of leader -- often standing idly by, issuing orders rather than carrying them out. On the contrary, the doctors have a wicked taste for performing torturous surgeries on the living by ridding them of their sight and speech. But for what reason?
